Stephen Rigby (Plastering Contractors) Ltd was established more than 20 years ago in Wigan, Greater Manchester, specialising in all aspects of plastering, dry-lining, external render and partitions.
We are able to offer a complete service from small to large scale contracts. Mainly working for major UK builders, we have regular repeat business from a long list of satisfied customers. In recognition of our high standards of workmanship and professionalism, we have received numerous awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC).
We have a strong organisational structure with well defined lines of command to provide smooth operation of contracts on site. Each site has a named supervisor who is the site contact and liaison. The teams are directly controlled by Stephen Rigby to ensure that all works are completed to our high standards and are delivered on time. All our employees/subcontractors have CSCS cards for their appropriate trade.
Our company is accredited within the Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS).
get in touchWe employ an experienced and highly professional Health & Safety advisor to deal with all health and safety matters as we take this area very seriously. The net result of extensive investment in this department is that all our employees have been assessed and certified for manual handling, risk assessment.
We produce RAMS at the start of each particular project and deliver toolbox talks during the course of the project to update operatives as necessary.
We are currently taking on 2 apprentices a year for the foreseeable future. We do this to bring young blood into an ageing industry, and this type of forward thinking allows the company to be proactive and adapt with the ever changing needs of the construction industry.
Understanding that the future is in those coming through the industry has lead Stephen Rigby (Plastering Contractors) Ltd to invest heavily in apprentices. We offer a comprehensive apprenticeship scheme, allowing our apprentices to not only learn a trade but understand the construction industry in great depth, as well as building on their knowledge of a day release at college.
Stephen Rigby, who is a qualified plastering tutor and assessor, monitors all apprentices on site.
